日本住友出售在美馬塞勒斯頁巖氣項目全部股份

據(jù)路透社9月8日東京報道，日本商社住友商事（Sumitomo Corp）周一在一份聲明中表示，已出售其在美國馬塞勒斯頁巖氣項目中的全部股份，但金額未披露。

住友公司于2010年從Rex Energy Corp手中購買了該項目30%的股份，該公司于2018年破產(chǎn)。目前，該項目70%的股權(quán)由PennEnergy Resources持有并運營。

住友發(fā)言人周二表示，"我們出售所持股份，是因為很難預(yù)測天然氣的未來價格，且可能需要很長時間才能從該項目中獲得利潤貢獻(xiàn)，即便價格回升，項目開發(fā)工作也可能無法按計劃進(jìn)行。"

他拒絕透露股權(quán)的購買者。

住友曾在2015年左右對該股權(quán)計提減值損失，當(dāng)時油氣價格暴跌迫使國際能源公司和日本商社對其資產(chǎn)價值進(jìn)行減記。

Japan's Sumitomo sells all of its stake in U.S. Marcellus shale gas project

Japanese trading house Sumitomo Corp has sold all its stake in the Marcellus shale gas project in the United States for a undisclosed sum, it said on Monday in a statement.

Sumitomo bought a 30 percent stake in the project in 2010 from Rex Energy Corp, which went bankrupt in 2018. The project is now 70 per cent owned and operated by PennEnergy Resources.

"We have sold our stake as it is difficult to predict future prices of natural gas, and as it may take a long time to gain profit contribution from the project and its development may not proceed as planned even after the prices recover," a Sumitomo spokesman said on Tuesday.

He declined to disclose the buyer of the stake.

Sumitomo had booked an impairment loss on the stake in around 2015 when slumping oil and gas prices forced international energy companies and Japanese trading houses to write down the value of their assets.
