亨斯邁預(yù)計(jì)未來全球MDI產(chǎn)能不會出現(xiàn)大擴(kuò)張

據(jù)安迅思休斯敦7月28日消息，亨斯邁公司高管在二季度業(yè)績電話會議上表示，該公司預(yù)計(jì)今年或2021年全球范圍內(nèi)不會對二苯基甲烷二異氰酸酯(MDI)進(jìn)行大規(guī)模擴(kuò)能，目前的經(jīng)濟(jì)狀況也不支持該行業(yè)增加產(chǎn)能。

亨斯邁公司表示，由于新型冠狀病毒危機(jī)，全球MDI市場需求已經(jīng)大幅下降，盡管消費(fèi)水平在第二季度末有所改善。

亨斯邁公司預(yù)計(jì)，第三季度全球市場MDI需求將從第二季度初的低點(diǎn)繼續(xù)回升，不過第三季度MDI和聚氨酯系統(tǒng)的銷量預(yù)計(jì)同比仍將下降7%。

Major MDI capacity expansions not warranted for next few years - Huntsman

No major capacity expansions on methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) are expected this year or in 2021 and current economic conditions do not support additional capacity in the industry, Huntsman executives said in a Tuesday earnings call.

Huntsman said that demand for MDI has fallen significantly due to the coronavirus crisis, although consumption levels are improving as of the end of the second quarter.

Huntsman anticipates that demand will continue to pick up in the third quarter from the low points seen during the beginning of the second quarter, although sales of MDI and polyurethane systems are still expected to be 7% lower year on year in Q3.

“We may seek to grow our capacity incrementally over the next few years, but do not currently plan any major expansions,” CEO Peter Huntsman said.
