殼牌與NCDMB合作建造天然氣基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施

據(jù)3月8日The Punch報(bào)道，尼日利亞內(nèi)容開發(fā)和監(jiān)測(cè)委員會(huì)(NCDMB)宣布與殼牌尼日利亞天然氣公司簽署了一項(xiàng)協(xié)議，殼牌公司將租賃巴耶爾薩州波拉庫(kù)一公頃的土地，開發(fā)一個(gè)天然氣減壓和計(jì)量站。

NCDMB在一份聲明中表示，該協(xié)議是由執(zhí)行秘書Simbi Wabote和殼牌尼日利亞天然氣公司總經(jīng)理Ed Ubong在阿布賈簽署的。并表示，天然氣的供應(yīng)將為新投資者和現(xiàn)有投資者打開機(jī)會(huì)通道。

他補(bǔ)充道：“隨著天然氣管道網(wǎng)絡(luò)的擴(kuò)展，更多的企業(yè)可以獲得天然氣供應(yīng)，從而創(chuàng)造就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)，促進(jìn)有影響力的經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)。通過(guò)這種伙伴關(guān)系，我們預(yù)計(jì)在未來(lái)兩年內(nèi)，建筑、制造業(yè)和服務(wù)業(yè)將創(chuàng)造3萬(wàn)個(gè)直接和間接的就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)。”

Wabote表示，董事會(huì)決定利用部分土地，促進(jìn)天然氣在巴耶爾薩和鄰近各州的用戶中分配和供應(yīng)。

NCDMB, Shell sign deal on Bayelsa gas facility

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board has announced the signing of an agreement with Shell Nigeria Gas for the lease of one hectare of its land at Polaku, Bayelsa State, for the development of a Pressure Reduction and Metering Station by Shell.

The agreement was signed in Abuja by the Executive Secretary, NCDMB, Simbi Wabote, and the Managing Director, Shell Nigeria Gas, Mr Ed Ubong, the NCDMB said in a statement.

According to him, the availability of natural gas will open up the corridor of opportunities for new and existing investors.

”With the extension of the gas pipeline network by SNG, more businesses can be supplied with natural gas thereby creating employment and enabling impactful economic activities. With this partnership, we expect 30,000 direct and indirect jobs to be created in construction, manufacturing, and services sector within the next two years,” he said.

Wabote said the board decided to use part of its land to catalyse the distribution and availability of natural gas to domestic gas to users within Bayelsa and neighbouring states.
